for placing my head

between your teeth.

But I knew you

as well as you

knew me.

I loved you

as much as you

loved me.

We were inseparable.

In my heart for you,

I thought I was immune

to your ways, then

I forgot them.

When given the chance

you did the only thing

you could do.

How could I fault you?
