Use “remember” in the first sentence.

“You want me to try to remember what I said to you two days ago? I don’t remember what I said to half the people I’ve talked today and it’s not even lunch yet? Harry was getting that red all over his face that was a tell that he was lying.
Frederick was getting that look on his face like he as gonna sock Harry any second now.
“Harry, don’t do this,” Freddie begged. “You know how important that agreement is to me.”
“Well, if it was so important, you should have made me sign something.
“Why don’t you just tell the truth, Harry? This is about your wife. You made the agreement without talking to her first. Now you’re trying to play stupid to cover your own ass.”
